How to cut Fennel

Fennel bulb may look exotic, but it’s very easy to prepare!

  • Cut the green tops off. Reserve to use as a herb.
  • Slice the white bulb in halve lengthwise.
  • You will see a fibrous center, similar to a cauliflower center. Cut that out to get a triangle shape (see photo).
  • Then slice and dice the Fennel as you wish!

You can use fennel raw in a salad or roasted it for a more subdued flavor.
